We are once again in the midst of a CBA election, and I’m pleased to report that your Prairie Wrangler has made it into the second round of voting. But there have been some disturbing developments that have put in jeopardy everything you hold dear including your family, your friends, and all of your favourite foods (yes, that includes chicken tikka).
Kate at SDA was completely rejected by Canadians in the 2006 CBA election.
Now Kate is trying to take power through the backdoor!
As you read this letter, Kate, along with the Daimnation boys, Joanne, and Steve Janke, are all trying to overturn the wishes of Canadian voters and win best conservative blog at the CBAs.
They want to take power and impose on Canadians a best conservative blog author without a personal mandate.
I need your help to ensure that they do not succeed!
Kate is trying to fool Canadians into thinking her scheme has something to do with the economy.
But it is clear Kate does not care about the economy.
She only cares about winning awards!
Kate has no mandate to lead blogging conservatives. This attempt to usurpt blogging leadership is so unprecedented and so undemocratic that Canadians must have their say.
This is Canada. The privilege to blog must be earned, not taken. We cannot let this happen. When an election occurs – and it is occurring, like, right now – Olaf will have to wage the fight of its life.
So, I am asking you to make an emergency donation of $200 or $100 – whatever you can afford to protect Canada’s future and protect Canada’s blogocracy from being hijacked by bloggers who care about nothing more than power and accolades.
I know, last time you sent me money, I bought a pony with it. But what you don’t understand, is that I really wanted that pony. And in fact, it was all part of a plan to stimulate aggregate demand in the pony market, which is more important than ever during an economic crisis. In fact, I would argue that the best thing for you and your family, the safest place for you money during an economic crisis, the most efficient allocation of resources, is right here in my pocket.
In the 2006 election, Prairie Wrangler readers stood together and spoke out loud and clear about the kind of conservative blogosphere they wanted.
Now we must stand together once again to ensure that the wishes of the voters are respected. And by “stand together” I mean “give me money“.
Time is of the essence. Please respond immediately.
(And by “respond”, I again mean “give me money”.)
Sincerely,
Olaf Raskolnikov, BA
Chair, The Prairie Wrangler Fund of Canada
PS: We also need you to write letters to the editor, and more than anything, write blog endorsements. Also, if you have a moment, call Talk Radio and let Kate and her kind know what you think of their plan* to overturn the will of Canadian people.
* Hint: you think it’s a terrible plan.

I don’t vote in these silly blog awards, but for that brilliant post, I am.
Bravo Olaf.
Mike,
Thank you, kind sir. Please do tell your friends.
Brilliant!
That was great entertainment and a good laugh on a morning that frankly is a little scary.
